The Embassy of Sweden to Ukraine welcomes you to the 8th Sweden-Ukraine Business Forum in Kyiv, the largest Swedish-Ukrainian networking platform for business talks, partnership and cooperation.
Since 2012 the annual forum has been supported by renowned Swedish companies operating in Ukraine, such as Electrolux, Ericsson, Grain Alliance, SEB Corporate Bank, Scania, Sigma Software, Westinghouse Electric Sweden, ABB and many others. To the Forum we bring owners and top-managers of Swedish companies and public authorities together with Ukrainian counterparts.
For Ukrainian entrepreneurs, the forum is a great opportunity to meet potential partners, learn about the latest business trends and receive information about the best practices from Sweden. For representatives of local authorities, it is an excellent/unique opportunity to share knowledge, demonstrate cooperation possibilities and get inspired by new solutions and projects.
This year we will focus on three key topics that include sustainable development, decentralization and financial market.The first topic will have key experts from Sweden talk about various instruments of sustainable development and successful Swedish business models. The next session on decentralization will be dedicated to digital transformation, and revolve around real cases presented by the Swedish and Ukrainian mayors.
In the plenary session on financial markets, we will arrange a public discussion on financial models and innovations in monetary policy, and discuss whether it is possible and sensible for Ukraine to turn its back on/to give up cash, like Sweden has done to a large extent on its way to a cashless economy. We will also talk with bank representatives from both countries about leadership, motivation and how to succeed in an increasingly volatile environment. Head of the National Bank of Sweden Mr. Stefan Ingves will be the keynote speaker for this part of the forum.
Additionally, the forum will host several events on the following topics: modern Swedish design presented by Electrolux, a workshop on how to export to the EU and Sweden provided by the Swedish Board of Trade, talks on the IT sector with the Swedish Business Association in Ukraine, a special event hosted by the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce. And more.
The forum will end with a big reception featuring Swedish jazz artist and Grammy awardee Ms. Amanda Ginzburg.
